Today we learned how to make a Jack-o'-Lantern. We got to help lift the top off, scoop the insides out and draw the funny face. Our classroom assistant Rhonda used a sharp knife to carve the pumpkin - only adults can use sharp knives! Our Jack-o'-Lantern is now sitting outside P2 for all our families to see - we are very proud of it. We wrote instructions for how to carve a pumpkin in our literacy books - we are pumpkin carving pros! :)
P2's instructions for the perfect Jack-o'-Lantern
First an adult should cut the top off.
Next scoop out the insides.
Then draw a face and an adult will help you cut it out.
Finally add a candle (battery operated) and put the top back on.
