P3 World Book Day

World Book Day is a celebration! It's a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it's a celebration of reading. P3 loved dressing up in cosy pyjamas and sharing their favourite bedtime stories during our tasty ‘Book Breakfast’.  We looked at lots of different book covers and discussed the key parts of what makes a super-duper interesting book cover and blurb! We joined in with Julia Donaldson book rhymes and Christina our Spanish teacher even surprised us with a Spanish story which we helped her read!!  In the afternoon we settled down to watch a film adaptation of a children’s book and enjoyed some tasty treats including ice-cream (delicious).  We were so inspired by our day that we look forward to writing our very own mini books!  Mrs Ash and Bronagh know we make wonderful authors!
