Primary 5 are learning all about instructional writing. This week they have explored the importance of making instructions specific to ensure our intended outcome. We discussed instructional language through a range of games and discussed lots of different ways that we need instructions to help us. We also created our own list of instructions on 'How to make a jam/ham sandwich'. The boys and girls worked with their buddy to create a list of instructions on how to make their sandwich and follow this exactly to make their own! Primary 5 soon realised the importance of making their instructions clear and concise. The boys and girls loved this activity, especially as they got to eat their sandwiches at the end.
