Primary 6 become Spectacular Scientists
Primary 6’s new topic Inventors and Inventions has got off to a great start with our new STEM activities on a Wednesday afternoon and let me tell you we have been having a ball.
On Wednesday we enjoyed carrying out our first 3 experiments and what fun they were.
We looked at floating eggs and we were amazed at what difference adding salt to water can do and how our eggs were able to magically float.
We had great fun creating vinegar volcanoes and watching them bubble and tumble over our containers (Miss Holmes was very glad we didn’t make too much mess with our volcanos).
Finally we had to try and stab a potato with a straw, at first we thought this is just not possible and we couldn’t stop the straws from bending. Who knew covering the end of the straw with your thumb could make all the difference J
We love nothing more than now transforming into scientists on Wednesday afternoons and we can’t wait to keep you updated with all of our wonderful experiments! Einstein watch out!!
